The IP5306 Fully Integrated Power Bank Charger IC is a highly integrated System-on-Chip (SoC) power management solution tailored for single-cell lithium-ion and lithium-polymer battery power bank applications. Combining a switching battery charger, a synchronous boost converter, LED battery level indicators, and power control logic into a single SOP-8 package, it significantly minimizes external component count and circuit design complexity.
Capable of delivering up to 2.4A charge current to the battery and up to 2.1A output current via its synchronous boost converter, it offers high energy efficiency (up to 92%+ boost conversion efficiency). It includes automatic load detection (auto power-on when a device is connected and auto shut-down under light load) along with integrated protection mechanisms against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short circuit, and overtemperature.
