The DS3231 RTC Module 3.3V 5V Precise with Battery is an extremely accurate real-time clock board designed for time-critical embedded applications. 3.3V to 5.5V DC (compatible with 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers) · Standard I2C serial bus (SDA, SCL) operating at 400kHz.
The DS3231 RTC Module 3.3V 5V Precise with Battery is an extremely accurate real-time clock board designed for time-critical embedded applications. Unlike standard RTCs that drift over time due to temperature fluctuations, the DS3231 integrates an internal temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) and crystal, maintaining timekeeping accuracy within a few seconds per year.
Equipped with a coin cell battery backup holder (CR2032/LIR2032), the module maintains seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information—including leap year compensation—even when main power is disconnected. It features two programmable time-of-day alarms, a configurable square-wave output signal, and an onboard AT24C32 EEPROM providing 32Kb of non-volatile memory storage.
Communicating over a standard I2C bus (SDA, SCL), the board operates seamlessly at both 3.3V and 5V logic levels, making it ideal for data logging, digital clocks, automated scheduling systems, and timer relays. It is fully compatible with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, STM32, and general DIY electronics.
